About Emily
Emily Zufelt is a seasoned communications leader, mental health advocate, and the voice behind the global podcast What’s Your Twenty? With more than two decades of frontline service and a career rooted in trauma education and support, Emily brings deep compassion and clarity to everything she does.
As Director of Communications for the Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada, Emily leads national efforts to raise awareness about the impact of brain injuries, concussions, and trauma - especially in the context of sports, military, and first responder communities. Her work is grounded in evidence, empathy, and a commitment to amplifying the voices of those affected.
Emily’s career began at a rape crisis centre in public education, where she first witnessed the power of spoken words to shift perspectives and ignite change. Today, through her podcast and coaching work, Emily advocates for post-traumatic growth and mental health literacy. Her trauma-informed approach supports individuals and communities affected by PTSI and PTSD, helping them navigate healing with strength and self-awareness.
With her extensive background, Emily continues to use her voice—whether on the airwaves or behind the scenes, boots on the ground—to create safer, more informed, and more compassionate spaces for conversation and recovery.
